Job Requirements

The Chef/Food Service Supervisor is responsible for providing food service and dining for the residents of St. Leonard in compliance with state and federal regulations.


Coordinates, supervises and develops work schedule for all shifts. Directs activities of personnel.

  1. Performs interviews and evaluations.
  2. Insures training and competency of employees meets state and federal standards, also mandated in-services are met.
  3. Insures that the food quality, appearance, quantity, temperature, palatability and proper portion control meets standards.
  4. Coordinate with the staff, Director of Support Services, Dietitian and nursing for production sheets, menu changes and new products. Maintains appropriate records of food production including production schedules and menus utilized.

In addition to the essential job specific duties listed above, the Chef/Food Service Supervisor shall be required to perform all duties (essential and non-essential) in a manner consistent with the mission statement and core values (reverence, service and stewardship) of St. Leonard and will be evaluated on such basis. Furthermore, every employee must abide by all campus, departmental and safety policies, rules and regulations.
