Care Partner

Denver Area

Full Time Care Partner needed for the evening shift (2pm to 10pm)! Come join a Denver area team passionate about providing great care!

POSITION SUMMARY:
Schedule: 2pm-10pm
Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Provides supervision and assistance to our residents in their activities of daily living, responds to emergency calls and notifies the staff nurse of changes in resident condition. Our Care Partners demonstrate the core values of Reverence, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence while caring for the residents in our community.

POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1: Provides resident care and services as assigned and, as provided for in the care plan, to assure the safety and comfort of residents, including but not limited to, assistance with bathing, shaving, dressing, laundry, escorting residents to meals and social activities, tidying their apartments, assisting them with their activities of daily living, taking vital signs, doing peri-care, skin care, oral care, reminders of or assistance with toileting, appointments, and help with using their oxygen.

2: Works well as a team member, displaying flexibility with assignments and a willingness to assist co-workers. Follows policies and procedures without prompting.

3: Follows all safety guidelines, including OSHA health and safety rules and regulations, and other safety procedures. Attends and participates in training and education sessions as scheduled, including staff meetings, in-services, and any other staff development opportunities. Always uses the safety equipment and procedures provided when performing hazardous tasks.

4: Maintains a professional manner at all times when interacting with residents or their families or visitors.

5: Communicates in an effective and timely manner to appropriate people regarding resident needs and services, departmental issues and family concerns, through consistent verbal or written follow-up.

6: Assists residents with observance of physical and medical precautions following a hospital stay, therapy treatment or a life-threatening event.

7: Must be able to assist residents physically throughout the shift. Reports to and assists the LPN or charge person on the shift, as needed.

8: Promotes resident and staff safety through the use of proper body mechanics, and through frequent rounds on assigned areas. Reports resident needs, status changes and safety issues promptly.

9: Additional duties may be outlined by facility. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe and cleanly working environment
  • Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures
  • Taking and delivering residents meal and drink orders in the dining room
  • Dishing and serving meals to residents directly on nursing units
  • Preparation of meals in accordance with dietary and medical restrictions
  • Wash and sanitize dishware and cookware
  • Stock food and supplies in storeroom and cooler areas
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the lead cook or Executive Chef

We are looking for an individual who has a genuine passion with interacting with our residents. You must have a great attitude and good work ethic. Must be punctual, dependable display team focus.

Job Responsibilities
•Must be able to set-up and take down tables and chairs
•Must be able to carpet clean with proper machinery, clean-up common areas
•Maintain a safe and cleanly working environment
•Handles equipment according to safety rules, policies and procedures
•Able to complete assignments both individually and in a team setting
•Able to communicate well with others
•Responsible for making sure the facility is odor free and clean of debris at all times
•Must be able to meet a 50lb lift restriction
•Must be able to walk, stand and push/pull equipment for periods at a time
•Performs various tasks as assigned

Experience:
