Department: Skilled Nursing Certified Nurse Assistant 

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to the following functions:

  • Promotes the values and practices of Person-Centered Care throughout daily life in the household.
  • Encourages and assists all residents in achieving spiritual well-being and an optimum quality of life.
  •  Performs all essential responsibilities of a STNA
  • Attends to all resident personal care needs, including but not limited to,grooming, hygiene, dining and nutrition, mobility, toileting, psychosocial and safety needs. Supports residents in self-care and provides care as necessary for those unable to care for their own needs. Responds to residents’ requests, including call lights, in a timely manner.
  • Regularly checks and provides appropriate physical care for all residents; observes all typical /normal needs of residents as well as any unusual changes.
  • Reports immediately any changes in physical or mental functioning or special needs to charge nurse.
  • Reports verbal/non-verbal complaints of pain to charge nurse immediately
  • Complies with all computerized medical records documentation and implementation, including updating daily care and resident-related information as required by federal and state regulations.
  • Provides ROM exercises as directed.
  • Assists and encourages residents to participate in activities both inside and outside the household.
  • Provides light housekeeping, activities, and dietary duties as necessary.

The Executive Assistant manages administrative tasks and performs diversified administrative/secretarial aspects in support of the Chief Executive Officer. This position requires maintaining high professionalism at all times and handling highly confidential information.

The essential responsibilities of the Executive Assistant includes:

  • Managing administrative tasks and performing diversified administrative/secretarial aspects in support of the Chief Executive Officer, such as screening incoming calls and correspondence as appropriate and acting as a liaison between the Chief Executive Officer and other CHI Living Communities executive leaders.
  • Coordinating meeting needs for the Chief Executive Officer, preparing visual aids as requested, attending meetings, recording minutes, and distributing them in a timely manner.
  • Collecting, compiling, coordinating, and managing data collection and information of a sensitive and confidential nature.

Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician III performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical equipment systems, HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, windows, screens, and doors. Additionally, this position requires appliance replacement and taking part in snow removal.

Essential Job Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Performs preventative maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical equipment systems.
    1. Changes outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
    2. Troubleshoots electrical problems.
    3. Helps perform tests of fire alarm systems.
    4. Helps perform tests of nurse call systems.
    5. Pulls wires, high and low voltage
  2.  Performs preventative maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment.
    1. Diagnoses minor problems in gas furnaces, and makes repairs.
    2. Diagnoses minor problems in air conditioners, and makes repairs.
    3. Performs preventative maintenance on gas furnaces.
    4. Performs preventative maintenance on air conditioners.
    5. Diagnoses minor problems in heat pumps, and makes repairs.
    6. Performs preventative maintenance on heat pumps.
  1. Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of plumbing systems.
    1. Runs drain stakes to open clogged drain lines.
    2. Plunges, removes, and replaces toilets as needed.
    3. Repairs, removes, and replaces faucets.
    4. Removes and replaces sinks.
    5. Repairs, removes, and replaces water heaters.
    6. Repairs, removes, and replaces water lines.
    7. Repairs, removes, and replaces drain lines.
  1. Performs preventative maintenance and general repairs of doors, windows, and screens.
    1. Repairs, replaces, and removes windows.
    2. Repairs, replaces, and removes screens.
    3. Repairs, replaces, and removes doors and hardware.
  1. Takes part in the process of snow removal and appliance replacement.
    1. Replaces all appliances and maintains accurate records as needed.
    2. Takes part in snow and ice removal.
    3. Helps load salt on trucks.
    4. Helps maintain snow removal equipment.
  2. Satisfies all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
    1. Attends all mandatory in-service programs.
    2. Adheres to facility policies and procedures.
    3. Completes yearly online education program by deadline.
    4. Attends employee meetings on a regular basis.

In addition to the essential job specific duties listed above, the Maintenance Technician III shall be required to perform all duties (essential and non-essential) in a manner consistent with the mission statement and core values (reverence, integrity, compassion, excellence) of CHI Living Communities and will be evaluated on such basis. Furthermore, every employee must abide by all campus, departmental, and safety policies, rules, and regulations.
