GENERAL SUMMARY :

Assists residents with activities of daily living and other non-professional aspects of nursing ensuring quality care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Administers resident care duties under the direction of a licensed nurse (i.e. maintenance of chart, recording vital signs, etc.).
  • Works under direct supervision using BDRC policies and nursing standards.
  • Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance, and use (i.e. drainage devices, scales, lifts, etc.).
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient/personnel information.
  • Reports observations to licensed personnel.
  • Maintains resident care supplies, equipment, and environment.
  • Assists with the provision of the care to residents (within qualifications) and participate in social and activity programs in order to help meet the physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs of the residents to promote a happy, safe, and fulfilling environment.

Cook - FT (varied hours)

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Prepares and serves meals in accordance with facility policy and applicable regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Follows daily Dietary Services functions and operations.
  • Directs the work of the Dining Attendants.
  • Helps assure residents nutritional needs are met in a safe and sanitary environment
  • Completes relevant paperwork (i.e. cleaning schedules, temperature records, substitution documents, etc.).
  • Must be able to determine proper amounts of food to prepare, and must maintain proper portion control to assure adequate nutrition and compliance with therapeutic diets.
  • Assists with the provision of care to residents (within qualifications) and participate in social and activity programs in order to help meet the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of the residents to promote a happy, safe, and fulfilling environment.

  • Tray set-up, pour beverages, help pass trays, clean dining room, wash dishes, etc.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Follows daily Nutrition Services functions and operations.
  • Assists with preparation and service of meals as directed by the cook in accordance with facility policy, residents’ desires, and applicable regulations.
  • Passes beverages (coffee, tea, etc.) and helps pass trays at meal time paying particular attention to diet orders and resident desires.
  • Cleans/sanitizes kitchen and dining room as directed including washing of dinnerware, sanitizing table tops, cleaning carts & equipment, mopping floors, etc.
  • Stores and maintains equipment & supplies.

HR/Admissions Assistant will provide assistance with the recruitment process, payroll processing and tracking of licensure and completed classes. This position will also assist with the admissions process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with recruitment process - post positions, schedule interviews, check references
  • Assist with pre-employment process
  • Enter new hires and employee changes into payroll system
  • Enter classes and trainings into Education system
  • Answer employee questions
  • Assist with completing the admissions paperwork

Assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned residents. Provides professional nursing care to these residents incorporating the nursing process, the environment, technical equipment, and health care staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Works under direct supervision using the Nurse Practice Act, BDRC policies, nursing standards, and nursing judgment.
  • Assists with assessment by collection of data for assigned residents.
  • Collaborates with other personnel regarding assigned resident’s plan of care.
  • Carries our nursing actions safely and accurately, utilizing knowledge and skills to implement physicians’ orders and the nursing plan of care.
  • Evaluates resident’s immediate response to nursing actions, collaborating with other personnel regarding effectiveness of care.
  • Performs documentation in the nursing unit and in the resident record accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner.
  • Participates in resident/family educational needs and instruction.
  • Participates in ways to solve problems and make improvements in the unit.
  • Cooperates in implementing planned changes and activities.
  • Prioritize workload.
  • Assumes responsibility for knowledge of and adherence to BDRC policy and structure and process standards.
