Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant provides individual and group activities appropriate to the needs and interests of each resident to promote well-being and quality of life. The Activities Assistant may care for the following age specific population: adults and older adults.

  • Assists in planning, scheduling, and implementing an on-going program of activities designed to meeting, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident, including both individual and group activities.
  • Completes the Resident Activity Assessment in accordance with facility, federal, and state guidelines and documents the activity interests and needs of each resident.
  • Assists and implements activities for days, evenings, weekends, and holiday. Assists in organizing and scheduling community events related to resident needs and interest.
  • Visits room-bound residents one-on-one on a daily basis, or as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and complying with policies and procedures of infection control, OSHA, safety, and federal and state laws and regulations. Interacts effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Satisfies all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.CHI Living Communities has the right to change the job specific duties and specifications required for the position of Activities Assistant from time to time without prior notice.

Billing Coordinator

The Billing Coordinator is responsible for accurately and timely billing resident accounts, including daily census changes, ancillary entry, cash receipt posting, and monthly statements. The Billing Coordinator is also responsible for account follow ups, collections, monthly coinsurance billing, and assisting other billing staff as needed. An understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, Hospice, and insurance-related billing is required.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

The Hospital and Community Liaison serves as a dependable point of contact for all utilization of services and communicates programming and service needs. Additionally, this position requires advocating and promoting the facility’s services to hospitals, case workers, discharge planners, physician offices, and other clinical providers. The Hospital and Community Liaison follows up on all hospital referrals, evaluates proper placement, explains the facility’s services, and maintains and develops referral sources.

  • Provides relief at the front desk for Receptionist on weekends

    - Starts at end of hall or room.

Under the direction of the Dietary Supervisor, the Wait Person performs a variety of routine tasks daily in providing dining room service to residents. Works closely with Dietary Supervisor, Lead Wait Person, cooks, and dishwasher.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparation for dinner.
  • Identifies all residents by name for dinner ticket accountability and food safety program records.
  • Conducts complex interaction with residents Serves residents and guests all food needed for meal.
  • Responsible for wine service.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills with staff members and residents.
  • Train new Wait Persons.
  • Completes daily and weekly side work.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas including sweeping and mopping.Demonstrates full understanding of and adheres to department policies and procedures.Consistently reports to work on time and ready to work.Respect’s resident’s privacy and confidentiality at all times.Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains a respectful attitude toward the home environment, family relationships, health and psychosocial history of residents, and family members.
  • Actively participates in the maintenance of a safe work environment.
  • Abides by all city, state, and federal regulations.
  • Attends inservice training and meetings as required.
