The Activities Assistant provides individual and group activities appropriate to the needs and interests of each resident to promote well-being and quality of life. The Activities Assistant may care for the following age specific population: adults and older adults.

  • Assists in planning, scheduling, and implementing an on-going program of activities designed to meeting, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident, including both individual and group activities.
  • Completes the Resident Activity Assessment in accordance with facility, federal, and state guidelines and documents the activity interests and needs of each resident.
  • Assists and implements activities for days, evenings, weekends, and holiday. Assists in organizing and scheduling community events related to resident needs and interest.
  • Visits room-bound residents one-on-one on a daily basis, or as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and complying with policies and procedures of infection control, OSHA, safety, and federal and state laws and regulations. Interacts effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.

As a CNA in our Skilled Nursing department you will provide direct and indirect care to residents. You will assists in activities of daily living (ADLs) to meet each resident’s needs and provide resident care as assigned. You can also expect to:

  • Use time effectively to accomplish assigned cares for a group of residents
  • Review daily report on assigned residents for their condition and required cares. Use care plan and Resident Information Sheets to maintain current information on resident
  • Perform utility work for residents' comfort and facility neatness and cleanliness:
    • Change bed linens
    • Keep closets, dressers, bedside cabinets
    • Clean and properly maintain sanitation and tub rooms
    • Separate soiled clothing, linens, and disposables
  • Meet residents’ personal needs at least every two hours in the following areas, including, but not limited to:
    • Toileting
    • Repositioning
    • Safety Intervention Devices
  • Provide direct resident care and assistance in ADLs by:
    • Feeding and assistance with eating
    • Bathing and weighing
    • Dressing
    • Oral hygiene

As an Assistant Cook you will perform skilled cooking duties that and are responsible for preparing foods for resident needs, and special events.

  • Prepare food following food safety guidelines, diet restrictions and  standardized recipes

  • Plan cooking schedules so that foods are ready at specified times and are tasty and presentable
